The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the City of San Marcos are working together to conduct the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study, which aims to identify the needs of the area and strategies to support multi-modal transportation, mobility, accessibility, traffic, safety, economic development, and other factors to ensure a vibrant and prosperous future for City of San Marcos.

This study will focus on development concepts for Guadalupe Street, Hopkins Street, and a future north/south corridor east of IH-35 that enhance the surrounding neighborhoods. Additionally, the study will explore concepts and strategies for mixed-use centers located around the Downtown and Midtown neighborhoods, the Medical Center area, and other key hubs of activity in the City of San Marcos.
